Young Female Business Leader Receives Award and Recognition
eWomenNetwork and its Foundation Honors Future Female Mentors –
“Femtors” – at International Conference and Business Expo on July 14, 2005
DALLAS – eWomenNetwork and its non-profit charitable unit, the eWomenNetwork Foundation, have awarded the International Femtor Award to Tiffany Fairchild, presented on July 14, 2005 during the company’s Fifth Annual International Conference and Business Expo in Dallas, Texas. The new grant program was developed to recognize and encourage “twenty-something” women who have demonstrated outstanding qualities of personal leadership and who wish to learn from and network with established female “femtors” to gain from their professional experience and wisdom. The International Femtor Awards are funded by eWomenNetwork’s international membership of more than 15,000 women business owners, professionals and corporate executives.
The International Femtor Awards are a new outreach program for the eWomenNetwork Foundation, according to Linda Perreault, Executive Director of the Foundation. “The eWomenNetwork Foundation awards thousands of dollars each year to other women’s not-for-profit organizations. With these new Femtor Awards, eWomenNetwork members are formally investing and promoting female leaders of tomorrow by specifically awarding grants to outstanding young women just beginning their careers. Our members – highly successful women entrepreneurs and business leaders – are giving back to their communities by ‘femtoring’ the drive, spirit, compassion and optimism of the young female leaders of tomorrow,” Perreault said.
The eWomenNetwork International Femtor Awards were given to a 19
young women selected from across the United States and Canada. Each
woman received a full grant to attend the eWomenNetwork International
Conference in July, where they learned from and network with the
more than 1,600 other Conference delegates.

By eWomenNetwork’s definition, a femtor is a hardworking, successful woman who shares her knowledge and learning with others. In spite of a busy schedule and hectic life, she is always willing to listen and learn, to recognize the needs of those around her, and to respond compassionately to those needs. A femtor honors her natural nurturing instincts to bring out the unique qualities and talents in others, lending her support on many levels – professional, emotional, and intellectual.
“The world will be a much more productive and humane place with more femtors around!” said Sandra Yancey, Founder and CEO of eWomenNetwork, Inc., “and what better place to start than with young women who are just beginning their professional lives. What fuels the spirit of eWomenNetwork is our Foundation, and we encourage our members to reach beyond the boundaries of their own companies in order to support women and girls who are either less experienced or less fortunate. These are some of the ways eWomenNetwork changes lives, including our own.”
